Hello everyone,

I am a big fan of this project and i think we should definitely start with c1. But i think that most of the people get bored fast from c1 + the low graphics. I mean with bored fast, is last than a month i guess. I think c3 is the best to end with.

I see every time the same story happening in every server. People would love to play L2 but also want to keep up with the rest of the server. But of course, some people have more time to play then others and they quit in less than a month and then the rest will follow.

What you could do is, to make a maximum level around lvl50 until you move to the next chronicle.
So people don't have too much rush and people can enjoy step by step.

Let's discuss about this, maybe my idea is not best idea but it could work right? Let's talk about it, since we all would love to see this project to succeed. And have at least 1 year fun on this server and not 1 month no-life and quit.

This won't solve problem at all. No-lifers will hit top level sooner with it being 50 and will quit in a week instead of in a month.

The biggest problem is that L2 is hardcore grinding game with exponential experience per level requirement. And what everyone over 30 years old wants is nostalgic casual game. Hardcore versus casual, that's the problem.

In every hardcore grind game no-lifers will rule. I see no easy way to make L2 (especially C1) casual. Even with x15 it will be hard to level past some point (probably 35-45 lvl) because of exponential experience requirement growth. Initially L2 was also designed to have adena/items to lag behind level. Except lucky drop, there is no way to have top or even mid D-grade until 40-tyish levels, meaning 99.9% of players will have bad gear and won't be able to level/farm fast (actually, slowing is more like hitting a wall for a casual player). This lag only gets bigger with level.
As I have already said, this is by design. Probably to push people together, to make them team-up. It is broken design, though...

There is small chance of having core community of casual players who do it for fun. This way, it will always be possible to find party on low levels. However, (the broken part of design) no-lifers really spoil gameplay for casuals, because they dominate PvP in L2. Furthermore, C1 has item drop on death, making it even more painful for casuals, because no-lifer PKs will farm items off players. This leads to casuals leaving the server because of miserable experience.

I do wan't to have a glimpse of that experience I had long ago. On C1 I have actually not gone past lvl 25 (x1 official Korean), this involved huge amount of character sitting :). However, in those times there was like 3-4k players per server, which made it possible to socialize on all levels. I don't see this happening any more. With this hardcore project, maybe 1k is an optimistic estimate with 80% of those being no-lifers within guilds who will leave after first siege/other big PvPs (actually, if dual-screen restriction stays, 1k players will mean only ~333 real human beings playing game as average screens per player will be 3).

P.s. pessimistic estimate is <50 players (half of which will be twinks).

You are 100% right bro. It's really very difficult to make any server successful now a days. Before you was 15 yo and didn't care about server features or how active the GM was etc., you just socialise with all kind of nationalities and pvp against the people from around the same level. But we won't get back to these days. But who knows, maybe many people would loves to play on this server after the summer.

But to be honest i don't see myself anymore playing 24/7 to reach A grade etc.. And getting killed by full buffed players. Let's hope these GM's has a solution for this. So these casual players like me can give some competition against these no-lifers.

Для меня С3 это тоже самое что и С5 , что и Интерлюд . и дальше.
В С1 Есть изюминка, атмосферно это - совершенно другая игра, намного лучше чем то что есть сегодня в новых хрониках.
вот приведу в пример даже одну мелочь - попробуйте прислушаться к звукам около персонажа, и персонажа соседа, который делает какие то действия от вас не подалёку:
В С1 всё на своих местах, если персонаж далеко от другого - ты его еле еле слышишь, подходишь ближе - слышишь увереннее и так далее.
А как это звучит в С3 - GOD - персонаж стоит от другого персонажа на очень далеком расстоянии, но звуки его сосок и звуки крита от оружия ты слышишь ТАК сильно, словно он около тебя, это режет слух и игра сразу падает в моих глазах как какая то некачественная палёнка.
А в С1 даже такая мелочь - работает идеально, я звукач, и у меня отменный слух, Только С1 доставляет мне удовольствие во всех смыслах.
Приведу ещё один пример что мне отвратительно в С3 - интерфейс. Он отвратителен, в С1 всё минималистично, аккуратно, тёмно серые прозрачные оттенки - оргазм для глаз.
и опять же это часть того что мне не нравится в С3 и далее. Про остальные моменты со скиллами, их анимациями/озвучками вообще молчу, С1 в этом плане выигрывает в разы

В общем я против С3 , и ДАЖЕ против С2

Guys, each Chronicle changes 3 things:
1. Client
2. Content
3. Game mechanic

What we can change:
1. Client - We can fix C1 bugs (missed descriptions, wrong names, default textures)
2. Content - We can add C2 content (Raid bosses, existed skills -> increase max level), fix NPC AI, quests, add B-A items
3. Game mechanic - We are not going to change mechanic from C1 (like, where archers own in PvP in C1). At least not in first year. Maybe we will fix some C1 bugs. But mostly we are going for new content and client fixes

For now we still have to fix more major issues, like known exploits, and check all quests (for low-rate)

That is PvP x100 for. All new content is for fun only to not let you die by playing with vanilla buggy C1 :D

c1 - until 55lvl
c2 - until 65lvl
c3 - until 75lvl
*and please, there is no S grade in any c1-c3 chronicles.
Keep it slow grow and smooth guys.

S Grade Items were added for fun only. They will not be on the low rate server.

Не хочу создавать новую тему, спрошу сразу тут у админов

Сайт - лицо сервера и главный аргумент для понимания что это С1 проект, человек должен заходя понимать, что он на С1 проекте
Сейчас сайт и форум выглядит как Freya сервер. И к тому-же никакой информации о том, что х100 это тест сервер на время выявления багов.

скажите, будет ли вестись работа над дизайном сайта и форума? Хотелось бы что бы сайт был очень атмосферен и соответствовал духу тех времен Что-то в стиле https://web.archive.org/web/20040401171 ... _movie.asp
